1. What finally.social does

finally.social is a group event scheduling tool. It lets one person (the "Captain") create an event with a venue and date options, share a link with their group, collect votes, and automatically lock in the winning date after 48 hours.

2. Using the service

By using finally.social you agree to use it only for its intended purpose — organising real social events. You must not use it to send spam, harass others, or for any unlawful purpose. You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.

3. Your content

You're responsible for the event details you enter. Don't use finally.social to create fake events or mislead people about an event's nature, venue, or timing.

4. Service availability

We do our best to keep finally.social running smoothly but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We're not liable for any loss caused by the service being unavailable.

5. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service means you accept any updated terms.

What we collect

When you use finally.social we may collect:

• Your name — when you respond to an event
• Your email address — if you choose to provide it (to receive calendar invites and event reminders)
• Your date preferences — which dates you voted for
• Basic usage data — how the app is being used, to improve the service

How we use your data

We use your information to:

• Send you calendar invites and event reminders you've opted into
• Send you occasional updates about finally.social (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Improve the product based on how it's being used
• Let venues and partners know where demand exists (aggregated, never personally identifiable)

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We use third-party services to operate finally.social (including Supabase for data storage and Resend for email delivery). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and only process your data to deliver the service.

Your rights

You can request that we delete your data at any time by emailing hello@finally.social. You can unsubscribe from any marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails.

Cookies

We use minimal local storage to remember your captain dashboard link. We don't use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
